Objectives
● Install and maintain Cisco ESC in an OpenStack or VMware environment
● Manage images, flavors, and networks using Cisco ESC
● Deploy new virtual network functions (VNFs) using Cisco ESC
● Monitor VNFs using custom metrics to perform fault recovery or scale-in/out
● Describe integration of Cisco ESC with Cisco Network Services Orchestrator (NSO) to create an NFV solution
Prerequisites
Cisco recommends that you have the following prerequisite knowledge and skills:
● Basic knowledge of the command line of UNIX-like operating systems
● Basic NETCONF knowledge
● Basic OpenStack knowledge For completion of Cisco NSO integration, the following additional knowledge is required:
● Knowledge and skills that can be obtained by attending the Cisco Network Services Orchestrator Foundation (NSO100) class or equivalent
● Basic knowledge of YANG data modelling
● Basic knowledge of Java software development
