Description

Implementing Cisco Emergency Responder (ICER) v15 is a 2-day course that provides students with best practice information on how to install, configure, operate, and maintain Cisco Emergency Responder 15 in a Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) version 15 environment. Focusing on core administrative skills, you will learn to configure CUCM for integration with ICER and to configure on-premise emergency response locations (ERLs), physical and softphones, and emergency location identification numbers (ELINs) in ICER to properly route enhanced 911 (E911) calls. If the phone is on-premise, ICER can manage it.

The course also covers Webex Calling emergency calling, showing how cloud-based location management and PSTN integration differ from on-prem ICER, especially for nomadic and remote users.

Students will also learn how RedSky integrates with CUCM, using HELD and Geolocation headers in SIP INVITEs to deliver calls with accurate dispatchable location information to the correct PSAP.

Objectives

  • E911 architecture and terminology
